I am a demographer and a current post-doctoral fellow at the Stanford University School of Medicine. My research interests lie in better understanding the relationship between an individual’s health and work, with a focus on older ages. Some of my current projects include understanding the role of cognitive decline on retirement decisions, as well as characterizing transitions between work, disability, and retirement across different occupational domains. I also work with genetic data and have published papers integrating genetic data and social science research. My work is highly interdisciplinary and incorporates theory and methods from biodemography, molecular genetics, gerontology, psychology, and economics.
